I was on NationStates before I was a deacon - the title you receive for a year before your ordination. Albeit it was only a few days before I became a deacon.

I'm still weighing up my options on whether I would like to go into the Orthodox clergy. I'm finish various undergrad level courses and I'm feeling that it's something I'd like to do. I was leaning on becoming a member of the permanent deaconate.

When I was in Seminary we visited an Orthodox Seminary and sat in classes. It was interesting, but very similar to our own.
