I think that Vec is a wolf. A wolf loving a rabbit (Roco). As well as this, the Madagascar pairings are Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo, King Julien (ring-tailed lemur) and Sonya the Bear, and Alex the Lion and the Gia the Jaguar.

In my series of books, Komodo Dragon and Galliwasp, Barry the Badger is married to Sarah the Sheep.
