I have some times considered going for referencing everyone with female pronouns, until a)They confirm they are males or b)They confirm they are males and demand me to stop after I continue despite knowing they are males. :P

It could be worse... I once contemplated using the gender-neutral "it" if I had no idea what gender (insert denizen here) was. Didn't push through, though.
