Society assumes wrong. If seeking help wasn't so stigmatized, things would be so much better.

It's a symptom of my condition. I'm deathly terrified of people. Especially strangers. I can't get out of the house unless I'm with my husband. He acts as buffer. Its depressing and disabling.

Doesn't medication help you against those terrifying feelings? I've gotten the impression that your medication was actually quite successful in that regard.

My insomnia meds? Nope. And the shrink I was seeing never approached a treatment that didn't involve meds. I don't want to live my life in a haze. I want a doctor that wil help me get tools to deal with my phobia without chemicals. I'm hoping this lady, and she comes highly recommended, can help me.
