But anyway, I started to add to this concept in a similar vein to Friends to ensure I have more commercial success than critical approval. I needed a location, a set of sorts. I tried getting my characters to live in a close proximity. That didn't look good enough in pen, probably because I was using a pencil, but nonetheless, I needed something else. And then it hit me, hit me with a plastic cricket bat; My set would be various study rooms in people's houses, because the show would be about the internet! Ahah! I am the greatest! Ah! Ah!
So, I've got my formula and my genius sets, so now what will be the premise? What the hell would these people be doing? Masturbating? That'll be a little tricky getting into the 7pm timeslot with that. They need to do something contemporary, so I can bullshit some social analogy if I'm jumped by Demographical Analysts. These days people are social networking a lot, so I need to chose a format of social network to balance on-- How about a forum?! It's uber-genius! Prime-Time Television Award Nominations, here I come!
Right now that I've got forum in the sack, I need to chose whether or not I should make one up or using an existing one? I don't have the time nor the Jewish blood to brainstorm for an imaginary one, so I'll just latch onto some struggling forum founded by a equally struggling writer or something... Hey, wait a minute, I'll just use NationStates! Well eat some fiery curry and shit me quick, my plan is working! Now, If I pull the character idea out of my special hole and spray some creative deodorant over it, I may have a perfect television show.
My characters will be the quirky, inane and downright insane members of NS!
I'll have Night in my show for the sex-appeal, Nana for the motherly glue that'll hold the group together (and mentally destroy them if need be), Uncle Vlad for the marvelous one-liners spoken at Scruffy-The-Janitor-like times, Akka-Chan for her sweet innocence, Nat for his vast knowledge on how to approach a stupid political thread (as well as the obvious little man syndrome), Shelby for additional sex appeal (I need money, and if reusing character archtypes means I'll have coins spilling out of my non-pockets, the so be it), Sam and Nemmy as the strapping young bachelors (who are also long-lost twins, because it creates plots should the series reach the second season), Lacky (to avoid him making fun of me again), Indie because she'll probably bring culture, Dya (because he'll make fun of me too if I don't cast him) and Liri, because Liri gives teenaged boys something to relate to: Adolescence and shit.
Now that my idea for a television television show is in full swing, now I just need to pitch it to some sophisticated News Network, say... FOX? Yeah, that'll do, though I may need to make everyone Republicans, just in case. Yeah, make them Fascists to be super safe.
So, there I have it, a quiz that took me an hour to complete and determine my personality and set me towards my goal of crap television writing. I can smell the three wives and fives divorces already!
