Just don't act like a complete idiot and you will probably be fine as long as you stick to the Tourist areas.

Oh and if you are female i would erm <_< Suggest abiding by Local custum when it comes to such sex when in the conservitive areas of the city.

If you are heading to the square i would suggest doing it when there is not a Prayer going on and taking Your pictures and leaving; I didn't actually stuck around and knelt towards Mecca everything. Islam is a very beautiful idealogy.

Yep. Can sum up the whole situation.

Socially inept guys hits on girl, doesn't understand the implications of his actions.

Girl makes a video about it, and explains her perspective and why people shouldn't go about things that way.

Then: Internet happens and it all goes to hell.

You wonder why I find it so difficult.

Oh believe me, I understand how difficult it is to ask someone out. But in her original video she was just giving people a heads up, with a "don't proposition people in an elevator late at night, especially when they just spent the day talking about how they hate being objectified as sexy"

It was honest to god, just her take on the situation. There really shouldn't have been any more outrage about this comment than there should be about every "dating advice" column/video/etc ever. She didn't give the guys name and tell people to hunt him down, she just said it wasn't a good way to proposition someone, and why.

The real question here is: Why does everyone care so goddamn much? Seriously, it's scary.

More years ago than I care to admit, a couple of my on-the-road were arguing about Teheran, one wanting to go back there while the other retorted, "The hotels? The ripoffs??? The ICE CREAM?!?!?!" Turned out there was a story behind that last, involving some ice cream that had a little dead frog in it.
