Uhm.....going from my notes, he faced off the Sea Peoples, but his constant fighting led to the decline in Egyptian influence and the collapse of the Egyptian Empire outside of Egypt. He couldn't control the constant attacks of the Sea Peoples. He was lucky that he even managed to keep the Empire going at all---almost all the other kingdoms/empires at the time collapsed under the attacks.
