I don't necessarily want a police department. All they do for me is give traffic tickets. Fire departments are useful, but I could live without them. The government isn't responsible for food outside my own garden - that would be trade.
I suppose that I do like the military as well as education, so, of course, I want those services and would be fine with paying taxes, but does everybody truly want them?
Of course, you'd have to be an idiot not to want them, but in the rare case of somebody not wanting them, would it be morally right to take their money and provide the services?

So the police only enforce traffic laws? I think not.
Because you personally have not yet needed the services of the fire department you think them unnecessary?
How does the food get to you if not by public roads?
Even those that claim they don't want these services take advantage of them on a daily basis, which puts a lie to their words.
