Pondering a question.

If vampires don't have reflections in mirrors, how do girl vampires put on makeup?

They don't. It's a natural occurance, like having sleep in your eyes when you wake up.

Its the government services that stand between us and anarchy, and unless you can come up with a way to provide something for nothing, then the answer to both questions is yes.

The answer to the first question isn't necessarily yes.

Therefore, my analogy still stands.

Do you want a police department, fire department, food not from your own garden?
In other words, yes everybody wants them whether they'll admit it or not.
Also, yes everybody has to pay for them.

I don't necessarily want a police department. All they do for me is give traffic tickets. Fire departments are useful, but I could live without them. The government isn't responsible for food outside my own garden - that would be trade.

I suppose that I do like the military as well as education, so, of course, I want those services and would be fine with paying taxes, but does everybody truly want them?

Of course, you'd have to be an idiot not to want them, but in the rare case of somebody not wanting them, would it be morally right to take their money and provide the services?

Yes.

Just think Denmark. The government takes most of their money and yet they're ranked the happiest place in the world.

Everybody truly wants some form of service from the government. That's part of having an absolute monopoly on services that are critical to the functioning of society.

I want to get completely pissed, but I don't have booze or the time. I just want to drink until I'm done hurting for a little while. It won't change anything because I am only capable of drinking alone.
