It's surprisingly well done, and it's right on the issue.
Real Aspies aren't jerks. We don't usually get social interaction easy, but that's a case of mixed signals, not jerk-ery.

Jerk-ery is as much defined by the context, both of the action and the society that witnesses that action. For example, society may consider the person who reports something for excessive noise a jerk but that person considers the person responsible for that noise a jerk.

So much for this thread being eternal. It's like my social life around here. Devoid of any meaningful human contact whatsoever.

I've noticed that in life, most social interactions are like that. Brief, fairly meaningless, and somewhat shallow.

It's difficult to get past that.

It will be eternal - nobody will be around to post so it'll just gather dust and never be locked :P

Apparently, heavy metal is good for studying and homework.

I can't quite understand how that works, but it's just as good as classical music, if not better.

I guess that it's driving enough to motivate well.

From what I understand, from a music theory perspective, metal bears a lot of similarities to classical music compared to other "modern" genres.

It's true. Looking over the two, they're both fairly similar in some aspects. Classical music is generally better for when I'm feeling awake, but for things like early morning homework and late night, it doesn't really have the ability to keep me focused. It's just kind of an interesting observation. (well, I think it is.)

Anyway, on an unrelated note, how are you doing?

I'm fairly decent. Gonna go to school in a few minutes; I still have a bit of a cold, but our first marching band competition is Saturday so it's important that I be in school all week. How are you?

Pretty good. Public school definitely seems to be an improvement over private-the regularity is rather nice. My grade point is slipping a bit, though, which is rather disconcerting. On the other hand, I get to actually do something in band now, so that's definitely pretty cool.

I get to play with the rest of the alternates in their marching blocks, which is nice. It's mainly just playing the parts and marching in a relatively simple pattern, which I can do fairly easily at this point.

Ah, well, that is better than nothing, I suppose. Anyway, I'm off. Have a good day and work on your app for Doctor Who at some point.

There is just something vaguely unnatural about getting up before the sun rises.
The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

Not to mention the inconvenience it causes to other people, someone has to cast the first stone.
