Its rather scary, the thought of us leaving Scotland. I think it bothers Ruaraidh, he's only been out of Scotland three times in his life.

Inevitably; leaving your home country on a semi-permanent basis is never an easy thing to do. I expect it won't be so scary and so on once you're actually there, though. Wish you both the best.

It may not be semi-permanent, it may be permanent. The job contract offered is 6 years, and after that it can be renewed. The employer suggested citizenship after 5 years. :-/

The thread is moving ridiculously slow.

Depends. I could be on about superior snail people.
People that just so happen to move at a painfully slow pace, to the extent that even their threads are slow.

Hmm. It was no doubt a difficult choice to make. However, I think what I said likely still stands; it'll probably seem a lot better once you're actually living there. But at least you've both got yourself some good jobs, it seems. :)

Ah, and following recent news I wont be in london again following this school year. Ruaraidh and I applied to work in the United States and we've been offered the positions. After this school year we'll be off across that big body of water separating our countries. .

Dirty immigrants taking our jobs. :P

Dunno if either of you guys will see this, but what made you decided to switch countries? Like, what about the job, or other issues? /curiosity

My baseball team won. Why do you care? That means I'm going to harass CC for the next 24 hours. Starting now.
