I wonder how many people have gotten lost in there from it.

I keep falling back in there on a regular basis. Honestly, I can read the synopsis of something, nail down half a dozen tropes that fit it, go to those pages, and find the examples in there. It's maddening when I'm in a conversation, accidentally reference a trope, and have to explain it to people.

A noble goal, that I can sympathize with. However, I do have to point out that college is awesometastic, much better than life was when I was 11. It's all relative, I guess.

I don't have the cash or academic excellence to go to college...

For a mere $1000, you can obtain a doctorates degree from UT.

Or it's a cause of it. Once we establish that science can determine human values, then religion will become useless. It's been beaten in every category but morality. I think we can be moral without religion, but many people justify their faith because they think it makes them act good.

My faith gives me hope and peace in times of trial and tribulation. I don't shove it at people, I don't use it against people. to the best of my ability I try to be patient and understanding with people whose viewpoints and lifestyle choices do not agree with mine. I am able to do this because my faith helps me to be a patient and understanding person and encourages me to be tolerant. That said, I am really sad that the one thread on NS where I could go to just hang out and be me is now apparently polluted with religion hate like all the rest of them.

There is the Gender issue, but as for nationality, well, I am an American southerner, but speaking as a Texan, we prefer (indeed many of us require) horses.
