Who I am, i've always strived to be someone (I've always said "I like this, I do this" &c) but I'm starting to realise thats not who I really am, nor what I really like. Some of it is, but it seems that because I like people like that, I was trying to be like them; but I am starting to realise I am not like them, and I like that even more.

All right then.
This is good, I assume? If so, congrats.

What I mean is that I've always cared about what others think. I put a great deal of care into the way my clothes look, the way I stand, the way I sit, and even the way I talk just to make sure other's get the right impression from me. I take any criticism and take it to the extreme. I've realised that I need to stop caring so muchRuridova wrote:Cill Airne wrote:There is one thing i've learnt. Don't entirely stop caring about what others think- they might have good advice and it might pay to listen. But don't pay so much attention that you essentially are parroting them.
All things in moderation, right?
Also, when the hell will conservative SuperPACs learn that I'm not going to vote for Romney?!

Who knows? Generally realising who you are, what you like, and what you are is considered a good thing. Other people may not like it.
I disagree. I know what I like, what I dislike, and I am content with that. Why would I feel it necessary to find out who I am? How does it help me in the long run? Isn't it more likely that most people lie to themselves about who they are, really?
