Here's the one question that's been bugging me all day though. We have two words to describe someone who takes their own lives: sacrifice and suicide. Sacrifice brings up to mind the ultimate altruistic ideal, is honored by many, is seen as good. But suicide is seen as selfish, something that should be prevented, as terrible. Why is that?
