Why? Allergies, general dislike, or just upkeep?

Because really only the first one is really of any concern. The other two would fade as soon as you got one. Cats like their people, and are completly worth it.

Well allergies seems like a fairly legitimate concern but this seems like something important to you and something he'll need to find a better solution to than buying a goldfish and putting fake cat ears on it
