Does my use of doing take on its other meaning?

"Doing" is almost entirely unlike the descriptor one could use in my case.

How about, "Regrettably not doing?"

Six years ago, when I left high school, I figured that I'd have this whole girl/dating thing figured out. Not that I'd be scoring every other night or whatever, but that I'd find the right person and figure out how to make it work.

Here I am, about to leave for graduate school, and I still haven't met her. For all I know, with how busy I'm probably going to be, I'll be lucky to find someone - just someone, not A Wifey or whatever - by the time I turn 26.

It's remarkable. For all the wrong reasons, but it's remarkable.

Spending your nights reading about Osama bin Laden sounds fun now.

Harumph. Hope he has fun with his 72 virgins. Or raisins. Whichever it turns out to be.
