If not Spain or Canada for me, then it'll be New Zealand, Hong Kong, or Singapore.

Personally, I'm not worried. Either I'll get into my dream school or I'll get into one almost as good.

Ah, I see. I am assuming you have learnt Classical Latin, then? I know older priests who can speak Latin as if it were their first language. I, unfortunately have not a knowledge of the language like that. Only 4 years of Latin Classes, though I use it on a week to week basis.

Yeah, but they don't want to pay for it. Depending on the method used, they'll fall at least $8K short of their expected financing. They'll give me $12K a year. Colleges are expecting them to give $18-30K a year. I'm not elligible for the nice need based loans that would add $11K a year. Community service hours aren't some specific tally. It's about showing dedication, not about hitting a mark. It also provides you with experience if you volunteer for something related to your intended major(education majors volunteering as tutors is a big one.) It's not about requirements or applicability, as much as it is about showing your interest in something and your willingness to go above what's required of you on your own initiative.

Yes, classical. I've taken three years of Latin, though I do a lot of practice on my own.
Pardon me if this is offensive to you, but the work that the Vatican does for the preservation and promotion of Latin is probably the only reason I don't want to see the Vatican City absorbed into Italy and all the Catholic Church made a thing of the past.

I don't understand why people want Italy to anex the Vatican, it's been a free country for 1700 years.
