Speaking of this, I had a friend show up from the other side of the country a few weeks ago on a random road trip. Totally not planned, but I think that was the best week of my life over the past five years.

Its not much of an injury. I have had worse done during competitions, and surfing.

I've had much worse before and continued in competitions. Just saying that the idea that you should keep going if you're deliberately harming yourself (I know this is boxing so you do actually do things that require getting hit and stuff, but there's a point where the trade-off is not worth it.) is a little lopsided.

Should I now interpret your name to be a tip for safety and protection of hands while exercising and whatnot?

Its actually martial arts, but I have always been taught to keep training until you cant train anymore. Guess its been instilled into me, and I know it probably isn't healthy, but I generally win competitions.

Oh, I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad thing to train that hard, just that one should be aware that there's a stopping point. Not that I necessarily know what that stopping point is, mind you.

Well, technically, you can keep training until you die, so clearly it had not been completely instilled.

Perhaps for your benefit.
