Well, why do we want global revolution? I would like to see a bunch of socialist nations, because government usual works better at a more local level. And I want the people to be unafraid to have pride in their nations and their forebears. I want this pride to drive them to be more productive citizens and to create great works.

I agree with you on government working better on a local level, but pride in a nation isn't what I'm going for. It should be pride in themselves, their families, their friends, their communities. Although pride in one's nation can be helpful sometimes, it creates hate and violence more often than it does peace and cooperation.

I don't necessarily want cooperation except within the nation. I want cooperation in order that We might compete with Them and thus produce something extraordinary through efforts driven by the two most powerful emotions - love and fear.

I am also a highlander but my veiw is that the whole UK should work together to help each other overcome these issues. Rather than reverse what 400 years of people have worked so hard to achieve.

The Welsh maintained their culture from a position historically even weaker than that of Scotland. Surely the Scots could rally to revive Gaelic without secession?

Well, what ended up working was Abilify, shockingly enough. Not really an anti-psychotic, but it functioned as one, and functioned rather well. Different meds do different things for different people.

Luckily, they didn't get me on any old-school anti-psychotics. At the time I was quite afraid of the side effects and of becoming a zombie, among other things.

I'm just throwing this out there, but the English (and I am English) have given those people reasons to resent them. And those who support nationalism in their respective countries, such as Scotland and Ireland, typically already resent the English.
