My dad went on vacarion in Mexico City, my mom spent a year as a foreign exchange student in college in Barcelona, and I live in a state on the US-Mexico border. That's where my slim knowledge of Spanish comes from.

I took American Sign Language in upper elementary (we didn't have a proper middle school at the time), French in high school and early in university, and German at the end of university.

Closest to Mexico I have been is California. But because I am mostly close to Canadia, I dont have much of a need for Spanish :P
