I just thought I would note that, if the arguments are sufficiently persuasive, I might be amenable to considering the case for whether or not Carthage must be destroyed.

If you destroy Carthage i will give everyone free Nachos and Beer. Is that persuasive enough?

Seikon no Qwaser takes the cake for me as the most perverted, strange, complete trainwreck of an anime that I have ever seen.

I should really stop watching it.

From what you described it as i think it would be healthy to do so.

Well you can't trust Carthaginians. There's a reason why treachery is called Punic Faith. Those Carthaginians'll betray you before you can say 'Safit Softim BiQandasat'
Now I know what you're thinking: "But Aethyopea, the Romans betrayed people all the time, including Carthaginians". Those people forget that romans are by definition morally superior to Carthaginians so they're the only ones allowed to betray others.
Plus they get most of their wealth from trade. They corrupt our youth by making them soft. I have this friend who fell in with a Carthaginian trader. "Come on", he said "buy a carpet. First one's free". My friend thought he could keep himself under control, but three months later he's dead in a ditch filled with salt and Indian furniture!

Why? What's it about?

I don't even think I can describe it coherently. Basically there are these beings called Qwasers (I think) who have control over a specific element in the world. They gain their 'power' from something called Souma (Or Soma?), and they gain it by basically acting like vampires. Except they don't feed on blood, they feed on breast milk instead. I can't even begin to explain just how creepy it is.

Man I'm glad that's over.

I will capture Tunisia within the next decade in my current game. Carthage is not present as such but I will, and this is for the best, not destroy any buildings I find. Partly because I'm recapturimg it and partly because it is bad practice in terms of my wider plan.

Good night.

Carthage isn't really that great in civ 4. Financial is a pretty meh bonus since people with a bonus like industrial can get the just as much money simply because they can build wonders faster. Cothons aren't that great either. And Numidian Cavalry seems pretty situational. Mind you I only got civ 4 for a few days but I don't really like Carthage so far.
Now, in Civ5 on the other hand, I heard they're pretty good. Free harbors are really nice for trade, and mountain crossing can open a lot of options on some maps. It's still situational though.
On the other hand, their music in Civ 5 pales in comparison to Sweden's awesome theme.

It's the XL mod. I'm playing as the Castille Leonese. Normally I'd play as the Danes or some such. I haven't been the Aragonese for a while, maybe the next game.

We have a thread for Total War.

I think it should be renamed 'Fiu Fiu Land'. Why, no idea. It's late, or rather, it's early.
