So either varicosis or scleroderma, the doctor thinks. Sending me to a dermatologist when we get back for the scleradoma, then if that's not it to a vascular surgeon.

Exactly my advice. Just explain to him what you want in the relationship so that the standards are clear. I'm sure he'll be understanding, and if he's not, then you probably don't want to be in a relationship with him.
