I'm talking about Mount Athos. It's a monastic community known for accepting Orthodox men to stay there for a while. It's an old thing that women would forbid their husbands to go because they'd inevitably end up staying there.

Actualy in Orthodoxy as long as the realationship is faithful and you have an intention to marry at sometime, then it is non-issue.

I could be wrong, but in the Lutheran Church, all sins, past, present and future are forgiven once one has accepted Christ as their savior. So if that's the case, it's a massive loophole for us. Especially in matters such as sex.
