And while that did excite me,

This: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mrM9a1HOpbU

Excited me more. I get more thrilled during the 90 mins of football than at the lifting of the trophy.

Put it another way. If you're reading a book, and you get told halfway through the story that your favourite character is going to come out on top, and indeed this character is the only reason you're even reading this book in the first place, then you keep reading. Of course you keep reading. And you enjoy the moment where he does come out on top, because its a good book and you love the character. But there's no suspense in the ending anymore, is there? Plus its a similar storyline to the book you read two years ago.

Are you a particular fan of prawn sandwiches?

If I was part of the prawn sandwich brigade, why would I have almost broken my shin celebrating when United won the Champions League? Or when Owen scored that winner? Or when Ronaldo hit that screamer against Porto? Or after Wazza's overhead kick? You madam, have thoroughly misjudged me. I shout my lungs off and support United every match of the season. Supporting a footbball club is like being married. Sometimes you're passionate, and showering your spouse with love, and sometimes you eat dinner in silence, but you still love them. Thats how it is with me and United.

I don't think it makes me less of a fan if at some times I feel a bit less fanatic than at others.

You need to be more careful of your shin.

But, eh...nah, I don't really have much respect for any viewpoint that sees unprecedented success as dull routine and someone who yawns there way through to another title.

Once again, I didn't "yawn" my way through another title. I am simply saying i wasn't as excited as I thought I would be. I was on Cloud 8 rather than Cloud 9.

EDIT: Additionally, since I have never had the opportunity to support United when they were down (considering when I was born) I sometimes OCCASIONALLY don't really feel thrilled, because I don't feel as though I've come through enough with the club to really be a part of the success.

Sometimes I wish United had been a Championship team when I started supporting them, so I could feel like I had really come all the way with the team. Anywhoo, If you're a United fan reveling in the success, I've got the perfect video to make you feel all good inside.

Good for him. Yeah, I was pretty hacked off when he left, but I'm over that now. He left Arsenal because he didn't think he'd win the league with us. Personally I think he was wrong about that, but that's what he believed. I was disappointed he left, obviously, but that was mainly because of how much the club had invested in him over the years. It's worth pointing out that we've yet to really see how successful he'll be at United, as he's won as many trophies there as he did at Arsenal (and at Feyenoord). He'll be 30 at the start of next season, and with his history of injury it's entirely possible - though hopefully not - that he may not have many full seasons left in the game.

This sounds suspiciously like you're talking about Harry Potter.

Oh yeah wasn't like he was injured for most of those six seasons
Then he has one great season, and then fucks off to our rivals.
Yeah that's not like sticking a dagger in the heart of every Gooner I don't know what is.
We treated him like he was the best thing since Henry and then he shoves it back in our faces.

236 appearances in 7 seasons? He missed about 1/3 of your league games in that time, which is by no means "most".

Yeah, what a traitor.

And, hey, you made a £20m profit on him. Maybe you can not buy a decent centre back with that.

lol, I have a friend who is a Gooner, and he's mocked me for years for my "irrational hatred of Dwight Yorke".
I mocked him relentlessly after Van Persie hopped on his Amsterdam rental. He understands now.
Hates the players who went to Man City even more though, understandably.

That all said... my antipathy toward Dwight Yorke isn't just because he went to United. I can understand that, as much as it was a betrayal seeing your then-favourite Villan say "yeah I don't wanna be here any more" (and seemingly play shit to force the move) -- and I will forever love John Gregory for his reaction to the request -- it was his comment years later; "If you know the history of it, supporters always regarded Birmingham as bigger than Villa" that pissed me off. Then a few years ago he said he'd like to be Villa manager one day. He can fuck right off. He didn't just stab us in the back, he came back to make sure the knife was still there.

I know this may have been brought up before, but the above picture shows Tannadice and Dens Park. Two Dundee clubs, two stadiums a mere 500 meters apart. Why haven't they consolidated into one stadium yet, and alternate matchdays for usage? The closest example I can think of is in the NFL, where the New York Jets and Giants share the same stadium (MetLife Stadium), and alternate their games each week so that one team is at home while the other is away? Why haven't the two teams come to a sort of agreement on this?

Over 40% actually, prior to last season - which was the first time he managed 30 league games in a season for Arsenal - and nearly 45% of our overall games. He had five separate medium- or long-term injuries, four of those involving his left foot/ankle. When he broke his ankle playing for the Netherlands in 2009, and was out for five months, there were several 'pundits' saying that Wenger should ditch him because of his patchy form and injury record. Imagine if Ronaldo had been injured on and off between 2005-2009 and then fucked off to City or Liverpool(!) and started scoring like he is at Real Madrid...

Wasn't the ending to Watford vs Leicester a bit similar to Brentford vs Doncaster? Missed penalty then counter-attack down the other end and the other team scores?

Yeah, although in the former it was a save by the keeper while in the latter some idiot took the ball off of the captain and penalty taker then hit it against the crossbar.

There are very few Arsenal players that I have continued to dislike after they've left Highbury/The Emirates, but Na$ri is one of them. Just comes across as an utterly odious human being. Can't stand him.

Have a feeling Szczesny is going to be another one, too.
