I just hope Rodgers is given enough time at Liverpool. He's got them playing some nice stuff, but he needs to get rid of the shit that Dalglish and Hodgson bought in and buy a decent finisher.

And: Oh, Arsenal! That was so predictable. :( Here's hoping we can actually maintain the performance from the first 40 minutes in the second half, should get something out of it then.

I fmy team was to win against their rivals in that way, I certainly wouldn't be proud, at all.

Terry retires from international footy - good day for England.

Too many young defenders to keep fielding him. Every cap he earned is one match worth of experience a youngster was missing out on.

Did nobody think of this when they gave Qatar the World Cup?

(Note - Ignore the part about Qatar beating England to host the World Cup: England couldn't bid for it.)

Am stunned we beat Everton...but we worked really hard for the win. Awesome result and maybe something to help us build on for the Championship. Also it seem Diouf is going a great job for us....although still not entirely keen on him do to his past but if he is able to play well, command games and not resort to his old habits I'll be quite happy.

Indeed, especially as it was basically our youth team.

Sahin, Assaidi and Suso are starting to deserve some first team starts in the PL.

I think the 4 replacements (going solely on tonight) for Agger, Borini, Shelvey and Kelly will be Robinson, Sahin, Assiadi and Coates.

Please dear Jesus (Navas) let it be Coates that replaces Agger.

Now we know:

Were you found guilty of racially abusing somebody repeatedly in Spanish? That's gonna cost you £40K.
Were you found guilty of racially abusing somebody once in English, despite being found innocent by the courts? That's gonna cost you £220K.

I'm curious about the 4 matches versus iirc 11 for Suarez. A bit confusing for a higher fine on Terry but a lower match suspension, innit?

If Terry's fine was £110k, then that paves the way for an interesting theory: You get fined up to £150k, but for the cost of one suspension, that fine can go down by £10k.

Actually, Suarez is pretty much what I'd define as "clash of cultures". The same would happen if an english came here. Even if he was good, everyone who supports a team other than the one in which he's playing would tease him for being an idiot. I still can't believe that Evra doesn't know football's codes. What happens inside the pitch, stays there.

Also, Suarez never commited adultery.
