7 million...not a bad deal but he doesn't seem to want to be a second fiddle. Also his agent seems to be a bit of a dick. Then again most if not all these football agents seem to be dicks.

Tbh I could see a move to back France being in the cards for him. He has matured a lot as a player since his first stint there and his style of play would do just fine in Ligue 1 I reckon.

Then again, I could see someone like Wolves, Blackburn, Blackpool, or Cardiff splashing some serious money around to try to bring him in come the January window - and he might just go if he is sure that the team will win promotion. If he wants to be the go-to guy and the focal point of a team, that could very well be his best bet. Never know, could end up being a promotion hero, too.

That game was on crack.

And I think Shelvey had been downing a lovely refreshing POWER HORSE before going on the pitch.

I'm very glad AEL didn't lose. Shmona are winning against Bilbao, and I think Maribor have a good chance against Panathinaikos.

Looks like it's going to be a good night!

[*] Away tie in a tough stadium and AEL got 4 yellows, which could add up.

That's a tough group though... Fenerbahce and Marseille will probably be hella tough to get more than a point out of...

Yeah...not Leeds because Bates is a tight fisted little arsewipe of a piece of festering shit.

Consensus is that two wins against Limassol are pretty much needed. Then the odd point against the other two, and it miiiiiiiiiiight work.

So much for that.

I'm a bit torn - we rested three (Four, but Xhaka was subbed in) of our usual starters. Which makes sense, we need rotation. OTOH, it may well have cost us a chance at getting into the next round, and lord knows, we need a success for morale.

Season's start is pretty rough as is. If it continues like that on Sunday, uhuh...

He should realise that Pardew just won't have space up front for him as regularly as he did in the first half of last season. We've got Cisse there, and both Ameobis plus whoever else. If Pardew plays a lone striker, then there's not much Ba can do about that if he isn't selected. He's done well on the left, but the lack of goals will be frustrating given he's supposed to be a striker.
Should he leave? Personally, no, but if he isn't at all committed to the team then why not?

As for his agent, I'm going to ignore him for now.

Yeah....looks like the adulation he received back then went to his head or to his agents head. Shame really. Still unless he's got a contract negotiation going on this kind of behaviour is a tad shit really.

What they need is support for their morale.

I suggest you dress up like a proper cheerleader, complete with pompoms and a ridiculously short, pink skirt, and start cheering 'em. The crowd will go wild!

Thoroughly undeserved loss there.

Shelvey's was a red, Evans' was probably a red, as was RVP's. It was a United penalty, I can't actually remember what Liverpool penalty appeals were.

Encouraging signs but I get the feeling that was a performance for United and Hillsborough only.

That win for us against Liverpool was awesome. Liverpool are doing awfully this season. C'MON UNITED!

RVP is on fire. We weren't good, but a win is a win. I am very proud.

Penalty aside, RVP was pretty poor. Agger and Skrtel kept him locked down.

And tbh, the direction of the penalty wasn't the best, it was the power he put on it that got it in.

Probably the most undeserved win so far this season.

No Agger, no Kelly, and no Shelvey for 3 games.

Coates, Enrique and Henderson to replace them. I hope.

If Carra is the one that replaces Agger I'm going to support Tranmere.

Tell that to Torres. 3 goals this season and still shit

If we continue to play how we played today, even with ten men, I think we can start to get momentum in the league.

I hope we can, because I don't think I can take many more losses.

Liverpool always plays United tough, especially at Anfield. I'm pretty sure that after this weekend, they'll go back to being average at best. As for United, I am happy with the win, but goodness me we need to raise our game still.
