Liverpool have a habit of stepping their game up for the big matches. Wouldn't be surprised if they got a draw, tbh.

Nah, we'll dick United, everyone will be singing Rodgers' praises and comparing him favourably to Dalglish and Rafa, then we'll lost to West Brom and Norwich.

Hooray.

"I worry about my team and the fact that since the start of the official season we have only played well in the Super Cup, a little bit against Valencia and a little bit against Granada," Mourinho said. "That is my concern rather than points. At this moment I have no team."

A gloating City glory hunter who jumped ship from United moments before Aguero's shot crossed the line?

Don't be daft, all City fans are former Chelsea fans.

Brilliant, even after it had been proven that it wasn't our fault, scum still chant about it.

Exactly. Expect fireworks, especially as it's the first home game since the verdict plus the hangover from last season's sordid affairs.

Well if they chant about Hillsborough then our fans will inevitably start chanting about Munich.

It's disgusting that fans seem to feel content witb disrespecting those that have passed away in tradgedies.

Well props to United and Ferguson for condemning it anyway, and for Ferguson at least trying to preempt the chanting in the week.

I have learnt, who dint of experience, that football fans are twats.

Indeed, there are only two groups of fans I like, Villa fans and Liverpool fans

Villa fans are for the most part sound.

If we're talking sweeping generalisations then I don't even like Liverpool fans really.

We are, for the most part and at the minute, reactionary wankers divided by the last 6 years and unable to get along.

To be fair Man City fans get a bit of bad press really. I remember when they used to play in Division 2 (now league One) and my team Wrexham played them. They were brilliant fans who still brought thousands of away fans and had an extremely good following home and away.

Obviously now with the money behind them they do have glory hunters, but for the core fans I have a lot of respect for them as they always seemed a nice bunch.

Can't see Liverpool beating United though even if Liverpool play at their best, a draw might be on the offing.

Someone mentioned Pompey in earlier in the thread, and only slightly related but for an interesting debate, is the old, rich, benefactor model funding the lose making club, that is currently employed by most clubs becoming a thing of the past? Is it sustainable? What are the alternatives?

Newcastle fans are pretty decent.
Ignoring the minor grudge with our neighbours, of course.

Is it me or Liverpool = Suarez + 10? Just what I've noticed lately, but I may be a bit biased as I'm Uruguayan. Anyways, Liverpool is WINNING against United. I'd bet on it, I just have the feeling they will.

Oh, you guyssss.... <3

Allegedly we're some of the most fickle, stuck-up fans in the country, with a false sense of entitlement, who are unnecessarily harsh on Alex McLeish because he was totally right to set the team out to win every game 0-0 and reach that relegation avoiding target of 38 points.

On a related note, I actually get along with most teams' fans. Only really 'noses, dingles, stokies and those Liverpool fans still stuck in the 80s that get on my tits, to be honest. And even some of those fans are alright. Everyone else is grand. Especially West Brom fans. I love those bouncy fuckers. Top bantz.

I think it is Suarez and that new kid Sterling plus 9 other players.

Sunderland and Newcastle don't get on because they are neighbours and neighbours in Football just don't get on generally. It's the local derby/rivalry could add Middlesbrough to that.

The most loathsome fans I've come across are Crawley and Fleetwood fans both are as bad as each other, but since there is about a hundred of them a piece its highly unlikely the rest of the world will hear from them :p
