Really isn't. It's just an attempt to further limit choice as dictated by moralists of the 1870s.

It could be both though. After all, initially voting ages for males was around 21 years old IIRC.

This explains why my dad just sleeps in on his birthdays.

But I'm looking forward to 16, 18, and 21. Sixteen, I can get a job and drive a car. Eighteen, I can graduate from school and go to college if I can land a scholarship. Twenty-one...actually, I've researched what alcohol does to your liver..but twenty-one is just cool because I feel like that's when you become an adult. And I might try drinking a bit just for the experience.

But...all those are still a long time away.

I hit 16 about a month ago. Still haven't even had a party or anything, let alone a "sweet sixteen". I guess it was just certain circumstances though.

Have any plans for your big day?

Well, I'd like to just sleep and have a pleasant and quiet day at home by myself, play some video games, read, and eat pizza.

Only part I'll actually'll be doing is eating pizza. Parties and all that. But it'll probably be fun anyway.

Attention Deficit Disorder. I show quite a few of the signs and symptoms of it. Not ADHD, as I'm not hyper at all

I also sometimes take longer than most to complete writing or finishing a piece of work. But that's kinda rare. There's a few other small things I'm probably forgetting as well. ADD goes well with mild OCD, I'll tell ya that much.

When I was in Elementary school, a lot of my teachers and friends thought I was autistic. I don't know about now though. I've never been to a psychologist, mostly because I'm afraid of what I might find out.
