This is true on both points. Besides at least BF3 puts you behind the controls of more gigantic fighting machines rather than makes them rail shooters like MW does.
Still, I refuse to be impressed until that frostbite engine is applied to a sequel to Battlefield 2142

Blops 2 looks like it may have more control over vehicles, but either way it's gonna be a bad game.
