I like to think Australia is primus inter pares.

Eh, it's got a better education system than the US, so there's that, but there's also the whole "centuries of racism" thing, which we're not innocent of, either. Come to think of it, I can't think of any first world country that isn't.

Still, though, I don't see what makes Australia better than any European nation. If you find something I'd love for you to enlighten me.

Its true, we don't have the resources for that. Shits already pretty perilous environmentally.

The only reason we're using up resources so fast is so we can make consumer goods. If we didn't have such a spending and buying craze, the environment would be a lot better.

Many European nations are relatively poor compared to Aussieland, to start. Aussies also speak a mangled dialect of American, which is better than speaking some foreign tongue.

What are you basing this poor-rich thing off of? Wealth of the wealthy, or wealth of the average person? And as for the language thing, a lot of Europeans speak English, if only to communicate with one another and America.

It's not the buying of one laptop or mp3 player that's bad. It's the buying of a new laptop or mp3 player every time a new one comes out.
