Not really, no. Have you been to Heaven? No. You really can't say for sure. The Bible is, after all, a contradictory mess of accounts from many different authors.

Actually, it can. We're arguing what the Bible says, not what's true. You obviously just don't understand what I'm saying.

I do, and what I'm saying is that Alex's interpretation of a book, if baseless, is just as valid as yours.

It isn't if there's no basis in the book. I can say Romeo and Juliet is about the Hamburgler all I want, that doesn't make it a valid interpretation of the play.

Indeos, this is the shitton-years-old giant-ass book that describes the beliefs of two whole religions. Whatever Alex wants to believe is probably based on something in said book. Whatever you believe is probably from some book someone made too. Let's leave it at, "We're all different and have different beliefs."

I don't believe anything in said book. I don't understand why you people are vilifying me for wanting to know where the hell Jesus said it was easy to get into Heaven, since I've read the damned book and don't remember anything to that effect. Why the fuck is wanting to satisfy my curiosity such a bad thing on a forum that prides itself for open-mindedness and the ability to discuss most anything?

We must, for if we do not then . . . .well I guess there would be something like. . .dire consequences

If you have to start that sentence with "ugh", then maybe you should reconsider.

I don't believe most of said book anyways, and I'm a Catholic myself. Bordering on Atheist. Or Nightkillist. Point is, I think most of the book is made to show everything in a lighter tone than it actually was. I mean, God let his own son die a terribly painful death via crucifixion, which he suffered for hours. What the fuck? That's not nice at all.

However, I look on the lighter, more badass parts of the Bible. Like how Jesus fought the fucking Devil.

I stick in International Incidents when RPing.
You're generally in F7 and NationStates forums.

He didn't fight him though. He just said 'Thanks but no thanks, I don't want your goddamn bread."

Yep. When the devil showed up, everyone switched their bet to the devil, except of course, the devil. Then he threw the fight and made a killing.

In the version I read (King James NIV, or something), there wasn't really a fight. He just said no a few times.
