Lol, earlier today i forgot what i looked like, then i saw a mirror and went "Wait a minute, that's me".

I agree. Swedes tend to be slightly more outgoing than us. Hell, a conversation with a Finn just isn't a conversation if there isn't a period of silence.

But give us some minttu and salmiakki and we can get up to some weird and wonderful things, like Folk Racing and Bear hunting.

Oh god, I love folk racing. That's the most fun I've had on 4 wheels ever. Nothing like doing a full-blown powerslide in a Saab and smacking doors with a Lada at about 20mph while jockeying for position. Great fun!

My uncle nearly destroyed his VW Beetle in a folk race once. He was trying to overtake on a corner and the vehicle next to my uncle sent his car flipping and eventually landing on the snow. Thank God I was only spectating!

Interesting, I found the finn's much crazier than the swedes.

I do not know about the promiscuity so much, but the attitude towards sex in general was more blazie, than anything else. I never met more unmarried parents than i have in sweden.

From what I've observed, Swedes tend to be outgoing but tame. Finns tend to shy but wild when in the company of friends.

And yes, Swedes get promiscuous while Finns leave their sex life alone.

And I met a couple of unmarried couples with kids while I was visiting Sweden (Finland was part of that 2 weeks). Here's the thing, they may have been unmarried but they certainly looked happier together as a family than some married couples Ive seen either. My theory is while some gender norms have been relaxed the basics of love, caring, and family haven't been compromised in any way, they mean the same things at the core of it all.

No that was the teenage girl in the blue sedan of some make that I cannot ascertain to this day. She hit an embankment, rolled it over 4 times, got out without a worry, and the response was a friggin GOLF CLAP!
Oh and the guy whos house we stayed at for our 3 days in finland, he's the equivelent of a Warrant Officer in the Finnish Defense Force. Bjorn is a member of the Coast Guard, and by that point I had been discharged from the USCG but still had my ID with me. Needless to say, we got on-base and had a ball with some Finnish weapons. and practice dummies.

It's basically an "I wish you were dead" button for any soft targets, no matter where they are. Entry holes are neat little affairs but the enormous cavity generated by exit holes is just mind-boggling. And theres surprisingly little recoil as well.

I had a dream last night that I was injected into Hollow as an agent by the Happyish government once more to set an example of our power. Upon arriving, me and a few classmates reunited at his school in Hollow. During the evening, after I talked to a few in the lobby when all the kids were going home, one girl I knew who was still in school came up to me and just threw the biggest fit at me and said she hated me. Which led me to recall that I gave a phone call to her dad's house once, before killing him. I knew his family and likewise. Anyway, after she stormed off, I took my friends outside and we had a snack out in an alleyway with some fire barrels and threw some red bouncy balls off the side of the school back-wall and whatnot. I eventually told them what I was there for and they weren't very approving. But, nonetheless, they fled to avoid harm, which is what I told them to do.

The next morning, the rest of my squad arrived with tripod heavy machine guns and we waited for hours on the gravel roof of the school, for the final bell to ring so the students could go home. I had us wait til most of the kids were outside and in view, once they were, I gave the order for my comrades to open fire kill as many as possible. Bloody mess, but, we enjoyed it. Kinda like a bit of revenge. Happyish finally has the upper hand in the conflict, might as well exploit it.

After the purple dust settled and screaming declined to a non-earsplitting level, an old cloaking VTOL ship came and picked me and my comrades up and ferried us back over the border back to home.

my subset of friends in sweden were mostly work related, so middle class for the most part. I would agree with your statement that a lot of the couples are unmarried, I was more refferting ot the single parenting. THough i i would still agree with your statement, that the single parents, both custodial and non, seemed very involved with their kids, as a percentage more so than here.
