I understand GCF and LCD pretty well, and I now get relatively prime numbers, but I can't understand how to change numbers from base ten to base whatever the hell they happen to be asking for at any particular moment. Changing bases might not suck if I even knew what the Hell was going on.

It might be time to consult Khan Academy.

Oh. That's the only way i can think of "Changing bases", I Only know it (i tell a lie, base conversion on numbers worth converting is far more complicated than converting small numbers to binary, After googling base conversion. ) from wondering how to count in binary though.
So why are you expected to know how to change bases if you don't know how?

From what I've read, binary is like this
01=1
10=2
11=3
100=4
101=5
110=6
111=7
1000=8

And so on. If you don't recognize the pattern, then assign the first place value from the right a value of one, then the next place value to the left a 2, and keep doubling the values like that as you move left. If you add the place values represented by a one, then you get the binary number's value in base 10.

I probably did a shitty job of explaining that, though. But it works. All those numbers I listed came from my head, using that trick.

Well, other than 01 my pattern seemed generally functional, I'm not sure though.
My general rule is that it works just like counting to ten, but you only have ones and zeros, so once you hit a "all ones" situation you move up like you would normally do with an "all nines" situation counting to ten.

That might just be one of the worst worded things i have ever typed.
