Meanwhile in The Armed Republic of StellarGate

A new film, The Navy in Nova Gray was just released, proving very popular with the civilian population and earned approval from the military as at least accurate when it could be. It earned an overall rating of 4.7/5 from International Movie Week magazine and is considered one of nice movies ever made in StellarGate having both live-action and animated parts.

This picture was made in it's honor.

It is a Science-Fiction film featuring modern day equipment for some parts.

Warning the following movie plot summary is very long. Read at your own risk.

The Navy in Nova Gray

During the annual StellarGate Freedom Celebration, all Stellian warships are paraded around the harbor of its civilian capital, Echo Valley City. It is a time of food, fun and celebration.

One ship, the RSNS StellarGate(for which the nation is name), a 79 year old aircraft carrier is doing her round and heads out to sea to reenact the moment in which the weak unloved democratic government was overthrown by the military. Alone and without her usual escort she heads off and her skipper, Captain (Senior Grade) Jonathan Dean( four time Silver Star recipient, finds his ship in a vortex of high energy which has caused all the equipment(updated to modern standards for ease of use,) to go haywire.

After 10 minutes of the ship hopeless blind and unable to orient itself, the StellarGate finds the sky is no longer blue, but black and filled with stars, planets and moons. The water in which the ship floats is a shimmering light blue and not a single other ship was too be seen.

The historical aircraft carrier and her skipper send out scouting aircraft which return with some futuristic fighter on their tail. The airplanes land and the sci-fi looking craft hovers over the ship before turning and fling away, only to return minutes later with 5 more fighters and a sleek, mean, fast, and very ominous looking water warship following in their wake.

Then Jonathan Dean receives a message that he and his ship had been transported into the future. Most of time the ships/material/people that get caught in these time loops never survive, and that he and his crew are the first.

His very old, outdated ship has been cast into the middle of a civil war, as much as there is one.

The galaxy is settled by humans and each planet/group of planets can chose however it wishes to rule itself, except for one problem. Almost the whole human population is addicting to a social utopia mind link game which regulates everything and everyone’s lives.

It is called the Utopica Futura, manufactured on planet Eden by Secure Futures Inc. and everyone has it. Babies to elders, everyone is controlled by it. Their lives, their money, their government. Crime doesn't exist and there is no such thing as hunger or pain.

But the planet which the StellarGate is on turns out to be named The Gate of Stars, which is the future colony of StellarGate itself. It's citizens had opposed the use of the game, but it had been thrust upon them anyways, the government enslaved and slowly but surely a civilian population turning to the game for the safety of Utopica Futura, a dwindling portion of civilians, and most of the military fight to keep the game out of the world.

But the Incorporation, however, doesn't like that their conquest is resisting, using ever more forceful tactics, it's militia used to put down rebellious game players, the Utopia Keepers are hunting down this rebellion with a determination that reflected the heavy-hand of the corporations rulers.

And the rebellion wants Jonathan's and his command help.

Jonathan argues that he could not do anything against future technology with a ship that was well over 10,000 years old(at that time) and technology so badly outclassed it would be a joke. But The Alliance of the Stars insists and turns out the old aircraft carrier would have some use... as a Trojan Horse.

Putting the crew in a modified version of Utopica Futura, which allows the user to realize the world around them is not perfect, they put the ship up for sale on the market as a lost treasure for someone else to enjoy and the old carrier is bought by the leader of Secure Futures for his own personal pleasure.

Captain Jonathan makes friends with The Alliance's most deadly Admiral Xandria Orlando, which on the two month slipspace trip to the Eden turns to love.

After arriving at Eden and the aircraft carrier is put in the water to sail around to the leader's orders, the ship runs out to sea, defying the orders of it's now owner and turning on the fellow ships.

Jonathan and Xandria are taken to the headquarters of Secure Futures in helicopters, the two fight their way with the StellarGate's marine's to the computer core which controls everything in the galaxy. They keep the StellarGate up to date with progress via live cameras which the marines and Jonathan were carrying. Commander Kalya Earnheart watches with horror and frustration as her skipper risks his life when he didn't need to.

As The two naval officers reach to core and Xandria enters the code to shut it down, the two are shot down with the rest of the marines by a Utopia Keeper who takes special pleasure to torturing and killing the marines he shot but didn't kill one by one.

Jonathan makes gives one last order to the StellarGate, to get the hell home and takes Xandria plasma sidearm and fires it at the computer core.

The computer core, which was made of super cooled radioactive materials explodes out in a furious burst of light, killing The Stellian Captain Jonathan Dean, Xandria, the Secure Futures' leaders and the game's software is gone.

The aircraft carrier spends five days in the radiation laced atmosphere of Eden, no longer having any use because everything on the planet was dead or dying.

On the sixth day, after most of the crew has gotten sick from rad. poisoning a spaceship arrives from The Gate of Stars which picks up the whole carrier with ease and transports it back to the planet with ease while treating the injuries and sickness of the crew.

After arriving on The Gate of Stars, The now acting Captain Kalya Earnheart is awarded by The Alliance's leaders for her bravery and her ship's loss. She accepts them gravely but asks if she could go back to her own time.

The leaders agree to her request and the ancient ship is forced back through a energy vortex to her own time.

As the RSNS StellarGate arrives back in her own time, everyone one of crew finds themselves waking up in confusion at their duty stations with no clue as to what just happened.

Commander Kalya wakes up, in a Captain’s uniform and is informed that StellarGate's Admiralty was radioing to ask what the problem was and why they were taking so long in launching the bombers for the reenactment.

Kayla responds by launching said reenactment planes and informing the Admiralty that they suffered a slight equipment malfunction but that the bombers were on their way.

And the end it shows Kalya wearing the captain’s uniform and a letter in one hand, reassigning her to the fictional battleship, RCNS The Gate of Stars, addressed to:

'Kayla Dean, Captain (Senior Grade), Four time recipient of the Silver Star'

Meaning that past history didn't have to rewrite itself because of the death of Jonathan Dean in the future.

Many people are calling for a sequel that has one The Alliance's warship travel backwards in time to find out exactly what had happened to the StellarGate and her crew.

That movie is currently in the making and is heavily funded by the government and Supreme Commander.
