I had to write something.
I'm not sure how many of you knew "Lathuria" by his real name, Donovan, but he was a friend of mine, though I am a few years older than him. We went to the same high school.
Well, he was hit, and killed, by a drunk man (actually a teacher at our school) three days ago. He lived for approximately three minutes afterwards (according to his mom), and did not make it to the hospital even by helicopter. Attempts to revive him were not successful. He was walking home from a friend's house, where a few of us were playing Modern Warfare. I'm not completely sure why i'm writing this. Perhaps as a discussion about drunk drivers? Maybe as a discussion of Donovan? I don't know. .
If you knew Donovan at all, in real life or here, you probably know that he deserves a lot more than what he got, and a certainly more than a god damn thread in remembrance of him.
But I had to write something
"Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on the snow.
I am the sunlight that ripened grain; I am the gentle autumns’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush, I am the swift uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there;
I did not die."
