Far across the town, down on the waterfront, a boat slowly moved into the harbour, it's captain aware of the rotting hulks that once shined in F7nia's harbour. Twice and thrice had this man returned to F7nia, to find it gutted, rotting and largely deserted, it's populace given over to games of falsitude, or patronising the single business that had swallowed up the other with all the efficiency of a Mafia operation. That's not to say it was a bad thing... but it's said Nana had woken up next to a Pony's head. The Bistro didn't last long after that.

Disturbed from his thoughts by movement on the dockside, the captain thought for a moment that F7nia wasn't as deserted as it seemed to be. And he was right, on the dockside were a pack of dogs, puppies from some long ago litter, gone shaggy and wild in the wastes of F7nia City. He shooed them off with a shout, and quickly tied his boat on the pier, and headed off into the town, looking for someone, anyone, who he might once have.

It had been raining the last time he had visited F7nia, but today's weather suited his mood. A calm breeze blew through the town, barely moving the rubbish strewn across the road and the overflowing gutter. It had rained here, and recently, as the flood water from the outdated and overloaded drainage system was still about. He had always wondered about that, but no matter. He shoved a hand into a pocket that was largely than it should be, and pulled out a stale biscuit. Grimacing slightly, he chewed and swallowed quickly, feeling all the better afterwards for some reason.

"Caian sorcery." He snorted, on the move again. He wondered the streets, aware of his destination yet dawdling, something not usually done on the streets of F7nia. He took note of every building, and the memories came to him again. Visiting the now decrepit Castle Taltros, running an underground club, various hotels and bars, and other memories that rolled around his head like a ship in a swell, making him feel vaguely sick for some reason. He shook his head as if to clear it, and finally turned onto the street that housed his destination.

It wasn't an attractive building, he decided, but it had... something, something that made it vaguely welcoming, and so he moved up towards the door, snickering as he saw they hadn't changed the old sign. The Flaming Wombat, it said. He had travelled many places, but never had he seen a wombat aflame. He thought it would take a special kind of person, the kind that removed the wings from flies as a child, and abused other animals. He sighed, and steeled himself for a moment, before pushing open the door, and walking in...
