The Alpha Centuari did "bullshit science" the best I've ever seen. Not only did they invent a new field of science that made absolutely no sense, but they then used that new field of science to prove the existence of a deity. And then used that to evaporate every human being in the universe. Scientifically, of course.

I still think you want to make it more plausible than the stuff Zein comes up with. Zein writes fantasy that happens to have space travel and guns in it.

In this case, maybe a little. There's very little set about what I want to do really, and I typically do much more fantastical stuff. I just kind of wanted to create a better explanation for superintelligence really, for the time being.

I've been wondering how I might be able to bring a Scanners-esque rewrite where the main character is a shy, sweet girl who lashes out at people for thinking awful things about her when she hasn't even done anything.

I've yet to understand the difference between Scanners and psychics in other fiction universes.

Well, Lucy did relate very well to Evan almighty (where Morgan freeman plays god)
Lucy gives the USB to Morgan freeman, who then looks at the secrets of the universe himself. All this knowledge allows him to preform extraordinary miracles (using science) and making him god!

Other than the plot shit and the premise shit, I rather liked Johansson's and Freeman's performances. :/

Considering that the majority of the copying/unoriginality accusations against you have been due to your use of names from other sources, I wouldn't be so quick to call your naming "clever" if I were you.
