The game?

Yes. Coulda sworn I wrote that in there, but wie.

How many would "multiple" be, then?

Would "Taste" be an example of one such task, and "speech activities" another, as well?

Might be. There could also be a period of time that would need to pass between shifts...

Actually.
It might be possible to design some sort of "Superneuron" that is capable of performing every task.
Combine that with the stem cell thing. Make it a one-time injection, so you shoot up this crazy superdrug, pass out for eight days, and then wake up a hyper genius.

You write science-fantasy. It doesn't read as plausible future-tech. I think Xeng He is trying to write something that comes across as more realistic.

I can relate to that. I started a novel for NaNo, but I haven't been writing anywhere near enough to finish by Nov. 30.

I still think you want to make it more plausible than the stuff Zein comes up with. Zein writes fantasy that happens to have space travel and guns in it.

In this case, maybe a little. There's very little set about what I want to do really, and I typically do much more fantastical stuff. I just kind of wanted to create a better explanation for superintelligence really, for the time being.

Problem with Lucy wasnt using 10% of brain: that myths been around for long time and i dont think many movies like Limitless were criticised for it. Problem with Lucy was that they potrayed effects of accessing greater brain capacity in silliest manner which although cool was just unbelievable.

Meh. I didn't mind too much. :p

However, that sort of enhanced brain capacity isn't what I'm aiming for. I'd be thinking more of enhanced intelligence/senses.

Funny you guys bring psychic ability up.

I've been wondering how I might be able to bring a Scanners-esque rewrite where the main character is a shy, sweet girl who lashes out at people for thinking awful things about her when she hasn't even done anything.

I've yet to understand the difference between Scanners and psychics in other fiction universes.

I've been thinking the best way to approach psychic ability like this is to abstract it.

Thoughts, after all, are still poorly understood even by neurology.

Well, Lucy did relate very well to Evan almighty (where Morgan freeman plays god)
Lucy gives the USB to Morgan freeman, who then looks at the secrets of the universe himself. All this knowledge allows him to preform extraordinary miracles (using science) and making him god!

Other than the plot shit and the premise shit, I rather liked Johansson's and Freeman's performances. :/

Thank you, I've been trying to think of a name for my works genres for a year now.

Anyone mind helping me think of how to write this scene for the game I'm working for? I need a little push.

And a lot of references or 'clever' naming.

Considering that the majority of the copying/unoriginality accusations against you have been due to your use of names from other sources, I wouldn't be so quick to call your naming "clever" if I were you.
