The Inritus Extraho wrote: "I simply want a homeland for my people, and yet, whenever we settle down, we are attacked viciously and for no real cause."
"How deeply fortuitous that it is that you have spoken to me then for that is my intent. I intend to take the flower of Zaiden and give it to an unbidden and claim that it was he who retrieved the flower. With this act, the unbidden will be redeemed, and the world will be indebted to them. They will have to grant the land to the unbidden, the savior of Mystria." Maven said feeling remarkably comfortable with Dark'han. It was strange, almost like he had met him before, but he didn't know why.
"I know it is the seeker's fate to go through immense hardship, but I've lived a life of hardship already, so why not take that and put it to good use? I will get the relics, and then without fail I will be able to save all of Mystria. The Unbidden and the Bidden. The world will be at peace. It wouldn't matter that they don't know who really did it. The idea of a world at peace with itself is enough for me." He said as he looked at the falling snow again his clear blue eyes with a spark that seemed strike Dark'han as familiar.
"As you can see, I'm a good politician, and being a good politician is a thankless job, and no one will thank me for doing the right thing, because that is what is expected of me. However I don't think anyone becomes a politician because they wanted thanks for doing what they do. We're hated, accused of corruption, our lives are exposed and our faults are seen by the whole world. We are criticized if we do right and crucified if we do wrong. However this is our life. I am so proud to be what I am, and I know I became High Chancellor so that I could bring some good to the world. I have a dream I want to achieve, and if I can do it, I will die a happy man. This world of peace is worth fighting for, and I will remember that when I face tribunal, and when I return to my cold cell, and even if I lose the tribunal and feel the cold steel strike the life from my body. The secret is out, and I remember that there's hope for a better future. I'm a politician, I have the potential to create the greatest good in society, and people trust me enough to put their faith in me and believe in me. I will live up to that faith, or I will die." Maven said as he looked at Dark'han and turned around his beautiful white wings spreading out and him preparing for flight again. "I'm glad to have met you. May the Just God watch over you friend."
