The Inritus Extraho wrote:Dar'khan smiled. Found him. "Oh, sorry about that. It's Samuel." He smiled kindly. "I heard an interesting story today, Mmn. Do you know the legend of Zaiden's relics?"

Why is he asking me about that?

"Nothing. I know nothing about Zaiden's relics at all." Jabrill said with a sigh as he thought miserably about the debate in the high council meeting. "And right now it's not really the first thing on my mind. I'm having a bad day." Jabrill said as his tail wagged low and his fox ears seemed to perk down indicating his depression.

It's not like I can say, 'hey everyone, I'm innocent' and they'll believe me. The only one who really knows the truth is Raren, and he's too angry with Maven to even bring it up. He's more likely to cut first ask questions later. This is not going to end well, and at this rate I will likely be sent back to Terradin. From one prison to another. At least with this one they'll actually properly execute me. I'm tired...

Jabrill leaded on the fence looking at Dar'khan. "Sorry Samuel. Maybe I can take you for a coffee and this time you'll actually get to eat something!"

Arvok did not respond to the unsubtle weapon threat,
"I am not only serving the Dwarven people's best interests by keeping Jabrill on his current penal status- namely his mission as a Seeker- but the interests of Humans, Beastlings and all the other Bidden peoples. He was a criminal. He was sentenced. He is now serving that sentence. You would dishonour yourself if you attacked me, yes. I am a Knight aligned with the forces of good and posing no threat to you. You would dishonour yourself if you attaked Jabrill, true. He is no threat to you, on a Holy quest and in another's legitimate custody- it would be thuggish murder. You acted according to your duty in tracking him down and now your have ascertained for your people that their vengence will have to- at the least- be delayed. As for the Unbidden- the last time Darklords roamed they came as close to overwhelming your lands as they did mine. Now another is active and rallying new Hordes and terrible agents. Your people, my people, Jabrill's people and every other people haven't faced a threat like this in generations. And how does their leader act? By picking a fighting over a petty legal issue instead of assisting in the most sure-fire way of resolving the crisis and fulfilling an age-old promise from the gods themselves? Calm down, sir. You conceeded the argument yourself a few minutes ago. Now I offer you a chance to return home and assist the High Chancellor's agent in recovering a holy relic. That prize alone would be worth any amount of criminals. The Spectral Harp."
"Jenkins... chap with wings, there. Five rounds rapid." Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart

By the way, please excuse all spelling and grammar mistakes- they are indeed numerous and highly irritating. If its any consolation they annoy me just as much. Its just combing through and editing your post for a 3rd time for that last 'their' that should be 'they're' would last me to the next general election. I'm not good with keyboards. But I am a good speller in the real world. Really. I'm not just saying that.

"Sounds like a great time for you to leave this particular trade then. I do doubt that you will find it easy to continue this trade, once it dies out." Mari fully intended to end this threat, as fast as possible. She could rest a bit though, the kidnappings wouldn't stop because of one person, and Mari needed full strength to stop something this large.

"You are very merciful, miss. We won't forget your warnings. Thank you." The young kidnapper said as he ran off and the scarred kidnapper walked off slowly.

"We may meet again, if you intend to end the trade it won't end well for you. Sword or no sword." The scarred man said as he walked off.

"Alright, let negotiate over this. We go after the Harp- stopping at your capital on the way or on the way back. I'd be violating the laws and decrees of my Order and the Nenyan church- which is not something I can do- and not something any respectable being will do. There we raise an appeal against Jabrill's sentence, arguing that the Dwarves follow human, beastling and changling examples and commute his sentence to the one he currently has. You- or I, as I'm already serving the role for two or three court systems now, get appointed as his custodial officer. We make sure the mission is followed until our deaths in action, his death in action, or its completion. At that point, with creation being saved, I would imagine that a court issue will be the last thing on people's minds. If they refuse, then I remind them that at this point, arresting and executing Jabrill would be tantamount to declaring war on the entire Chageling nation as well as my entire Holy Order. And probably the Beastlings too. Incidentally, I remind you of this too. I only make this needless concession to try and ease your problem out of the goodness of my heart. You already accepted Jabrill's status- you said 'once he has completed your fools errand he will come and accept punishment for his crimes'. So please remember that I don't even need to have this argument with you before you refuse my suggestion, sir."

Arvok was getting impatient with this ill-tempered Dwarf. He wanted to get after Jabrill and move out after the Grimoire. With luck they'd be able to track Nirdasil. And if they could find Tarahel, they might even be able to pinpoint her base of operations. If the Dwarf refused to compromise he would simply leave Maven's chamber with Raren and continue his task. If the Dwarf wanted to shoot him in the back, then let him risk two holy wars being declared on his people. He also had a pretty firm feeling that Dwarven honour wouldn't permit the prince to do so.

Gundral walked up to the knight and extended his hand "Very well we will stop at Terradin and I will plead his case and attempt to get a stay of sentencing." Gundral thought to himself I dont like this already.....

Arvok sighed, he didn't like this or the Dwarf's wording, but took the Dwarf's hand
"Alright. But I'd prefer an appealing for a commuting of sentence- not just a stay of sentencing. I've travelled with Jabrill, really, you Highness, he's a changed and good person. Not the brightest, and with an uncanny knack for landing in trouble, but a good person. Put it this way- he's not just my charge, he's saved my life several times."

We are such a long way from Suld. I wonder if I'll ever see it or Ferrian or the others again.

Maven smiled but different from when he smiled at Maddy, "And a victory was won on behalf of diplomacy. This is a better end than I had thought possible. We shall see what happens when you seek the spectral harp. However I demand that you keep your mission as priority."

He watched over everyone and slightly frowned at Raren and looked at Maddy with the softened eyes he had before. It was definitely not an expression that Maven seemed to want to show Arvok or Raren because his immediate reaction was to frown slightly and look at his papers nervously.

"Now, ladies and gentlemen, I must return to my duties, as being a politician is a thankless job. I've got 62 death threats to throw away and I suppose your friends threats of stabbing me, beheading me, skewering me, and burning me adds another 4. I've had a rather productive day then. If you will excuse me and vacate my chambers so I may return to work? I will send the search party immediately."

Arvok sighed as they filed out of the High Chancellor's chamber.
I feel old. Which is ridiculous. I'm in my mid thirties. I'm not even half-way through my expected life. But this mission. All these people and their demands, all this evil and confusion and twisting and searching. I miss the days when it was me and a few hundred like me just overwhelming impossible odds with our weapons, training and dedication. Serion, Wise One above us, why test me so? I shall prevail and endeavour to continue, with the wisdom you granted me, with faith, bravery and determination- but, my maker, I grow weary of the burden. Cleanse my mind and refresh me, I beg.

Looking up again, he spoke to Maddy, smiling at the beastling
"And congratulations to you! Your father's place granted to you, aid being sent to your people. All you could have wished for? I have a proposal- you are very capable. And a good influence on Jabrill I think. Therefore I have too questions. One of which would enrage me if I wasn't so weary after this day. Firstly- would you consider joining us on our task? Secondly- and this is the one that is annoying for me- have you seen Jabrill? I swear, its like dealing with a small child. A small child with exceptional mobility and a way of attracting trouble that befuddles me."

"Well they use caves from over that way" Jeremiah pointed "For keeping the slaves there and that this town serves as a highway where the slavers travel through to get to the caves and that the slavers come out of the cave with slaves at night, we freed some slaves earlier" Jeremiah said

Dar'khan frowned. "Hm, that's a pity." He didn't believe the foxkin even a little, but appearances must be made. Dar'khan watched him closely, and asked another question.

"Do you know about the Seeker, then?"

"Good. I fear we will have to traverse these caves, to find the root of this problem. The leaders likely never have to leave, with the amount of men working for them. I propose we take us and your squad of samurai into the caves tomorrow, at first light. A good night of rest would leave us all for the better." Mari said to Jeremiah, looking through the town, annoyed that they would help the slavers, knowingly or not. Forced, or not.

"Which one?" Jabrill asked, which was a legitimate point. There were more than one it seemed, and his role might be coming to an end as he was deemed expendable even by the High Chancellor himself.

"Why are you asking about that? I'm rather curious as to what has gotten this kind of thing on your mind." Jabrill asked as he looked at Dar'khan.

Raren did not like the dwarf too much as barging in was not something he commended people on. Yet he remained silent as no proof could be brought forth to keep Jabrill innocent. Simply put the only thing Raren could offer was to put Jabrill to the Inquisition or the trial of fire, but many did not recognize the final judgement of either. Raren was sure however Jabrill's innocence would shine through and maybe Serion would watch over him, yet Raren would do anything Serion could not. Raren was sure this was going to be an interesting journey.

((okay not sure how everyone ended up in the offices, when they were at the tavern but i'll try to make it work...))

Fisk shook his head. 'I really got to stop that.' He thought. It appeared he became lost in his thoughts of stealing from that dwarven prince, as everyone had dispersed from the circle he had last seen them in- not to mention merging with as well- and the group was nowhere to be found. He walked over to the bar and leaned against it. 'Well at least I have some information on him; he won't be too hard to track down, and it'll be even easier with my skill.' He finished off, or rather the whole of it, the drink of the person next to him while they were glancing over their shoulder, and with a couple of coins he snatched from the dwarf's purse in his hand, started towards the door with a sneer and foul taste in his mouth. He muttered to himself about human drinks and their lack of burn, when the owner of his last drink turned back with surprise on his face. He yelled, "Where the hell is my drink?" Fisk quickly stopped in his tracks and spun around, making it appear to the dwarf that he was just returning from the restroom. Fisk had a bit of a startle when he recognized the dwarf's face as his earlier query. He quickly disessmbled his emotions and his facial expressions faster than they came. He sat down next to the angry dwarf and spoke, "Don't worry lýtling, I'll buy you another dead soldier." Fisk motioned the tapster over and ordered a pint for both the dwarf and himself. He paid with the swiped coins. "So" He said and relaxed. He could see some big happening in his future. He settled back and focused upon the dwarf. "Nice weather we're having I suppose..."

Okay so I realized that I talk different than most people. Here is a helpful spoiler for some of the words I use that you don't recognize(This will be updated as I find more words that I use that people don't understand, usually from them asking me what it is)
new fish - someone he feels is noobish or little better than a rookie, not worthy of his attention or recognition.
jack - (in context with numbers) 75
lýtling - slightly better than a new fish; it shows acknowledgement in regards that the person may be of use in the future for him.
dead soldier - a drink, usually alcholic in nature(a umbrella meaning for a draught of alcohol)
tapster - bartender or barkeep
gaspers - cigarettes
Devil's rope - Barbed wire
Draught - container for drinking

He finished off, or rather the whole of it, the drink of the person next to him while they were glancing over their shoulder, and with a couple of coins he snatched from the dwarf's purse in his hand, started towards the door with a sneer and foul taste in his mouth.

"Bah, We dont get much weather in the Holds of Terradin. Now what may i address ye' as lad? I am Gundral Ironfist." he said taking a drink from his tankard. "I noticed ye' tossed out some Dwarven gold coins if I may ask where did ye' come by them?" he asked inquisitively.

Fisk pondered about his questions. "I'm simply known as Fisk." He replied, deciding against his will to be deceitful and foster another name, instead replying in truth, atleast partially. "And I've seen my fair share of the road as well, much like yourself if I would say so. So what are you, if I may ask, doing here exactly?"
