He was a criminal. He was sentenced. He is now serving that sentence. You would dishonour yourself if you attacked me, yes. I am a Knight aligned with the forces of good and posing no threat to you. You would dishonour yourself if you attaked Jabrill, true. He is no threat to you, on a Holy quest and in another's legitimate custody- it would be thuggish murder. You acted according to your duty in tracking him down and now your have ascertained for your people that their vengence will have to- at the least- be delayed. As for the Unbidden- the last time Darklords roamed they came as close to overwhelming your lands as they did mine. Now another is active and rallying new Hordes and terrible agents. Your people, my people, Jabrill's people and every other people haven't faced a threat like this in generations. And how does their leader act? By picking a fighting over a petty legal issue instead of assisting in the most sure-fire way of resolving the crisis and fulfilling an age-old promise from the gods themselves? Calm down, sir. You conceeded the argument yourself a few minutes ago. Now I offer you a chance to return home and assist the High Chancellor's agent in recovering a holy relic. That prize alone would be worth any amount of criminals. The Spectral Harp."

Democratic Eurasia wrote:"Alright, let negotiate over this. We go after the Harp- stopping at your capital on the way or on the way back. I'd be violating the laws and decrees of my Order and the Nenyan church- which is not something I can do- and not something any respectable being will do. There we raise an appeal against Jabrill's sentence, arguing that the Dwarves follow human, beastling and changling examples and commute his sentence to the one he currently has. You- or I, as I'm already serving the role for two or three court systems now, get appointed as his custodial officer. We make sure the mission is followed until our deaths in action, his death in action, or its completion. At that point, with creation being saved, I would imagine that a court issue will be the last thing on people's minds. If they refuse, then I remind them that at this point, arresting and executing Jabrill would be tantamount to declaring war on the entire Chageling nation as well as my entire Holy Order. And probably the Beastlings too. Incidentally, I remind you of this too. I only make this needless concession to try and ease your problem out of the goodness of my heart. You already accepted Jabrill's status- you said 'once he has completed your fools errand he will come and accept punishment for his crimes'. So please remember that I don't even need to have this argument with you before you refuse my suggestion, sir."
Arvok was getting impatient with this ill-tempered Dwarf. He wanted to get after Jabrill and move out after the Grimoire. With luck they'd be able to track Nirdasil. And if they could find Tarahel, they might even be able to pinpoint her base of operations. If the Dwarf refused to compromise he would simply leave Maven's chamber with Raren and continue his task. If the Dwarf wanted to shoot him in the back, then let him risk two holy wars being declared on his people. He also had a pretty firm feeling that Dwarven honour wouldn't permit the prince to do so.

I feel old. Which is ridiculous. I'm in my mid thirties. I'm not even half-way through my expected life. But this mission. All these people and their demands, all this evil and confusion and twisting and searching. I miss the days when it was me and a few hundred like me just overwhelming impossible odds with our weapons, training and dedication. Serion, Wise One above us, why test me so? I shall prevail and endeavour to continue, with the wisdom you granted me, with faith, bravery and determination- but, my maker, I grow weary of the burden. Cleanse my mind and refresh me, I beg.
Looking up again, he spoke to Maddy, smiling at the beastling
"And congratulations to you! Your father's place granted to you, aid being sent to your people. All you could have wished for? I have a proposal- you are very capable. And a good influence on Jabrill I think. Therefore I have too questions. One of which would enrage me if I wasn't so weary after this day. Firstly- would you consider joining us on our task? Secondly- and this is the one that is annoying for me- have you seen Jabrill? I swear, its like dealing with a small child. A small child with exceptional mobility and a way of attracting trouble that befuddles me."

Fisk shook his head. 'I really got to stop that.' He thought. It appeared he became lost in his thoughts of stealing from that dwarven prince, as everyone had dispersed from the circle he had last seen them in- not to mention merging with as well- and the group was nowhere to be found. He walked over to the bar and leaned against it. 'Well at least I have some information on him; he won't be too hard to track down, and it'll be even easier with my skill.' He finished off, or rather the whole of it, the drink of the person next to him while they were glancing over their shoulder, and with a couple of coins he snatched from the dwarf's purse in his hand, started towards the door with a sneer and foul taste in his mouth. He muttered to himself about human drinks and their lack of burn, when the owner of his last drink turned back with surprise on his face. He yelled, "Where the hell is my drink?" Fisk quickly stopped in his tracks and spun around, making it appear to the dwarf that he was just returning from the restroom. Fisk had a bit of a startle when he recognized the dwarf's face as his earlier query. He quickly disessmbled his emotions and his facial expressions faster than they came. He sat down next to the angry dwarf and spoke, "Don't worry lýtling, I'll buy you another dead soldier." Fisk motioned the tapster over and ordered a pint for both the dwarf and himself. He paid with the swiped coins. "So" He said and relaxed. He could see some big happening in his future. He settled back and focused upon the dwarf. "Nice weather we're having I suppose..."
