Well, that makes a bit more sense. If it were more Mass-Effect (Which I have a roleplay for, sign up!), then the Imperial Navy would always win. They have tens of thousands of ships per square inch of space, and could decimate even the entire force of Chaos in seconds if they were caught off guard.

There only problem is they have a 6 sided war, plus the inability to command all of this at once. THus giving the Tau the chance to make an empire in less than a thousand years. My prediction for the end of 40K?
Tyrannids - A sparce infection that runs in some worlds, and just floats form world to world, with no more real power behind it
Orks - Gone
Necrons - Defeated by Eldar. Exiled
Eldar - Back int hiding, after defeating the Necrons
Chaos - Completely Obliterated
Imperium&Tau - Some sort of Alliance, resulting in a joint empire.

The reason for the last one is the Tau are so expansionist that by the time they are majorly confronted by the Imperium, they must permit their existence, even if they don't accept the Machine gods. Plus, these two Empires have had the only widely known peaceful relations in the 40K world.
