Some time passed and the two men, who had introduced themselves to Henry as Thomas and Quincy, had explained to him a great deal about his powers. How his fire powers were augmented by the sun, how he could use the power of the very sun to an extent, and how his light powers worked in a much more intricate way.
However, just when they were going to get to the good stuff, a huge roar shook the entire forest. Thomas and Quincy immediately sat down, Quincy adjusting his feather cap, Thomas placing his umbrella on the ground. "Henry, stand back." They said in unison.
Quickly enough, the source of the roar showed itself. Henry's eyes widened at the sight. It was a huge black creature. The most accurate way to describe it is as an enormous, corrupted, deformed black centaur wielding an obsidian sword. However, at the sight of this fearsome beast, Thomas and Quincy were unphased. They looked at each other and nodded. Meanwhile, Henry took shelter behind a nearby tree, watching the duo intrigued.
The black beast roared and charged the duo, but apparently they saw it coming. With two very slight motions of his hands, Quincy made huge roots come up from the ground and bind the black beast completely. Meanwhile, Thomas had spotted a body of water nearby. Suddenly, part of the water floated out and went to Thomas, reforming itself in the shape of a monstruous ice spear. Thomas charged the black beast, impaling it's upper torso. The black beast let out a ghastly roar and fell to the ground, dead. After a while, it started de-materializing.
Thomas and Quincy walked over to Henry with sad expressions on their faces. "We would have liked to tell you more, Henry." Thomas said. "But I'm afraid fate has frowned upon us." Quincy said. "Our enemy has found us now." Thomas added. "And we do not wish to risk you." Quincy added.
And then, all of the sudden, they weren't there.
