Ben, who had been taking a nap, woke up to see Al, who for some reason had wings and was changing further into what seemed like a Harpy from Greek mythology, fighting three men. He stood up and sent a blast of wind at one of the men while creating wind shields around himself and Al.

Erik called several fireballs down from the sky, aimed directly at Valtherzaw.

"Val, stop it." Nihil shot out her arm, four bloody spikes descending from her fingertips and slicing towards him, smacking him across the floor of the airport terminal.

"No killing people. If you want blood, ask." She turned her attention to Erik, flying through the sky on a platform of flames.

"And you, you're not helping the situation at all." She nodded towards Lirrian, who threw a vortex directly underneath Erik, sucking the flames out from under him and dragging him down to the floor.

Nihil watched Al the entire time, suitably bored. The kiss was a small surprise, but she wasn't exactly homophobic. But with nothing better to do, she did the inevitable.

"You two... ?" She said, a finger pointing first to Ben, then Al, then back, before being stuffed in her coat pocket.

Nihil walked away, slumping onto the floor next to Lirrian, who was absorbed in a travel guide to Chicago, eyes darting back and forth as he scanned every word and image covering the pages. Nihil looked at him sullenly, then leaned against his shoulder, resting her chin on it and staring at him. His eyes looked at her through his peripherals for a moment, and then Lirrian turned and kissed her gently on the lips, wrapping his left arm around her and pulling her into an embrace.
