I never thought about that before.

Christianity was never really successful in Japan because just as it was catching on the Catholics were cracked down on (and the Dutch were too smart to risk trade to preach). The growing Catholic communities were persecuted and largely vanished, but existed long enough there's some general knowledge of a few ideas, but not enough it's a cultural influence.

I always knew Zeno wasn't insane. So this isn't news to me.
