And don't forget who indirectly made them enact such laws as a condition of their occupation -- while, at the same time, allowing the corporations who made killings (both literally and figuratively) off of Jewish slave labour to keep their earnings and to, not only continue to exist, but to keep on going and thriving, and allowing high-ranking ministers under the NS regime to become chancellors under the CDU-dominated Bundestag.

I was there for a month last year. I loved all the places and the people I encountered. Many were friendly enough to help me correct my awful German, and they even gave me discounts, better service, or were extra nice to me and such for speaking to them only in German.
I want to eventually die in Germany after spending a good amount of time living there.
As far as I'm concerned, Canada and the U.S. would do well to be more like the Germany in every way. Germany is my ideal country.

Freedom of Speech as a concept was not devised in order to allow the neo-simians amongst us to deliberately offend or insult others. Really, the Germans never struck me as angry people. They're very kind and make excellent hosts and companions at parties - maybe a bit lacking about strict formality, but who cares?
And also if you can't speak German, you'll find a lot of people who speak some other languages (English, French and Italian are quite common).

I'm not saying we're always angry. Its just a stereotype people have given us. I'll admit the German language is very gutteral and people often mistake you saying something angrily when your not.
