Hiddenrun wrote:All women want to have children. It is a basic, biological urge. That is it sometimes overcome does not change that fact. Nothing you have said refutes this.

You've provided nothing to refute. You've stated, with absolutely no support or evidence of any kind, that all women want children including the women who don't want children.

The only thing anybody has to do to "refute" you is say that all people who use the forum name Hiddenrun are 12 year old virgins who've never so much as seen a woman in person, even if they claim they're not.

This seems to be a truly personal issue. One I think no one could ever give a 'right' answer on.

Ah. I see. It offends your feminist sensibilities to have someone point out that your body aches for a child, even though your mind rebels.

Nowhere have I said it's wrong to overcome your biological urges. It's amusing however when some of you claim to be so special as to not have those urges at all. Veritable superwomen.

That would be quite offensive.

A half-decent troll would know that it goes like this:

"You know deep down that the only reason you play at being feminist is because you can't admit that what you really want is to be taken by a strong man who will give you a healthy child. You've been brainwashed by the liberal media to believe that you should want a career and voting rights, but deep down all you want is a baby to hold and a man to care for. When you're 40 years old and living with your cats, you'll finally wise up and realize that feminism was a waste of your life, but then it will be too late for your withered and useless uterus."

Trust me, you have no idea what you're talking about. Not every man or woman wants children. I don't want children. I know one person in particular who has gone through every single precaution not to have kids, and constantly tells me how much she hates them. Just because you're a woman doesn't mean that you have a secret urge to pop out little terrors.

Don't bother trying to convince him. There are some guys who are really insecure, usually because they failed in relationships and felt rejected at critical stages of their lives, and they need to believe that all women crave their manly essence and any woman who claims she doesn't is a liar. This is largely the fault of a culture that places entirely too much emphasis on virility as the core of masculinity; thus, women who "reject" fertilization and motherhood are threatening and scary because they are rejecting the essence of maleness (and, by extension, all men).

In a weird way, it's almost kind of touching. This particular brand of douchebaggery is actually rooted in the need to feel desired, needed, and loved.

Not a secret urge, a biological one.

Luckily, many humans are able to overcome their basic biological urges.

However, some apparently like to claim that they are not quite human, and have no such biological urges at all. Apparently bringing up the biological truth of the matter is so offensive to some, that they have to go on the attack. I wonder why that is? What is so offensive about noting that your ovaries are intended to function in a certain way? Your body wants children. Nowhere have I said this means your conscious mind wants children.

But again, by all means, let the sexist comments continue.
