You're right. Electrocuting is always the best thing to do.

Where did I say that? At least make your bait attempts less obvious.

Or perhaps they would choose to shock them for looking away for a moment, because one is fairly hyperactive. So, your claim would be that they'd be justified in that torture? Because none of us here 'know what the fuck [we] are talking about'?

I am saying that the trained doctors know what's best for their own fucking patients, not highschoolers on NSG.

If this works so damn well then, why aren't more schools for the disabled using systems like this? Furthermore just because something gives a desired effect, doesn't mean it should be done often or at all. These shocks are being given out for minor rule breaking. As punishment. Not as treatment.

EIDT:Just did a tiny bit more research, and this center also apparently will withhold up to 3/4 of your daily food as punishment. They've also shocked students based on a prank call from a former student, and used physical restraints on students they weren't supposed to.

Perhaps other schools haven't caught on yet?

Furthermore, how is punishment not treatment? Punishment corrects behavior which is a symptom of the illness...

How is swearing or glancing out the window an illness? Because these are the kinds of behaviors they're shocking kids for. Yes they might work. But then again they also have side effects that are just as bad as what they're trying to "Cure"

Diarrhea is a side effect of Taco Bell... Taco Bell is a cure for starvation. See, I can play that card too.

1)Things like malnourishment and PTSD are a lot worse then a bit of diarrhea.
2) These people don't have tourettes, they have autisim. And if there is one that has tourettes shocking him every ten seconds isn't going to to cure him, it'll drive him insane.

Malnourishment is a result of poor diet, not taking a fucking zap to the leg.
PTSD is a poorly understood creation of the 21st century, there is no definitive research linking the two. Furthermore, I would argue that keeping a child from physically harming themselves and others is of primary importance.

Malnourishment comes form the fact that they often only give them 1/4 of the food they need as a punishment, in addition to the constant shocks. PTSD is not due to the malnourishment, its due to the fact they are being brutally shocked against their will. And giving a kid one poorly understood mental illness to try and cure a different poorly understood mental illness does no seem the smartest thing to do. There are ways to prevent a child from harming themselves then using electric shocks. Like Straitjackets.

Right, if its one shock. But its not just one shock. And a straightjkacket is a lot more humane in the longrun then strapping them down and shocking them if they try to get up, they look away. OR the best is when they hold them down and tell them to misbehave. If they don't misbehave they get shocked. If they do, they get shocked even more. Doesn't exactly seem to me the best "Cure" for anything.

Clearly Partheon has us beat. Shame, I thought I was on the right track listening to all those reputable doctors with the letters behind their name of mine telling me things like "You have PTSD" and stuff.
