So it's acceptable for Republicans to do it, but not Dems?

It's OK If You Are Republican. And of course Yu-Gi-Owe has dreams of being part of the ruling elite, or at least one of their management overseers.

That means the Politicians will only make five figure incomes, and they will have to give up their Top tiered healthcare plan for whatever is financially viable. The same goes for their pension plan. That mean raising taxes on the wealthy 2%, they can afford it, and jobs are going overseas anyways, so why the Hel are we protecting them on taxes? Close the loopholes on corporate taxes so that for ONCE Corporate America is actually PAYING the corporate taxes.

It's time that the Middle class and poor stand up as one and scream in the halls of government that they're done sacrificing when it only benefits a few.

Viva La Revolution!

Indeed.

And I wonder why they don't really like to point out that Wisconsin's budget deficit was actually aggravated by Governor Scott Mubarak passing a tax cut for the corporations in the first place?

Corporations shouldn't be taxed, that's theft. Middle and working class people should bear that burden. They need to tighten their belts and do their fair share. we're all in this together (except the top 2% and their corporations, even if those corporations are using their tax breaks to pay for further offshoring of jobs).

It's rare that a democrat does a good thing... But this is a very good thing they are doing. I hope they keep it up. Also, Impeach the governor!

I'll predict two days at most before Yu-Gi-Owe rants about how this is proof the protestors and their supporters are violent thugs and that Governor Scott Mubarak and the Republicans are being oppressed.

"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

After that Fake Kock interview where he mentioned thinking about sending in disrupters amongst the protest, he earned the comparison.

It's amusing how overrun with trolls this thread is - much more than usual for NSG.

As a Wisconsin resident, I will simply say, no...it's not amusing.

This is not a budget issue.

This is a civil rights issue.

The Democratic Senators are heroes for going above and beyond to defend our civil rights.

As for Walker, and those who support his initiative...cowards. Cowards who hide behind the issue of "money" while making villains of hard-working people.

The recall's coming...don't think it's not.

Did the Democrats do the right thing when they passed the Civil Rights Act?
Were the intentions of it good, yes. Was the impact of it good, not necessarily. Like all laws which greatly alter the dynamics of a community, e.g. the South, there are unintended consequences which could been mitigated if the act had been introduced more slowly.
We are the Glorious Empire of the Scandinvans. Surrender or be destroyed. Your civilization has ended, your time is over. Your people will be assimilated into our Empire. Your technological distinctiveness shall be added to our own. Your culture shall be supplanted by our own. And your lands will be made into our lands.

Surprising no, amusing yes. This thread just seems to have caught a whole lot more of it than the related threads on topics surrounding these events have.

I don't quite think asking "right or wrong" is good for a productive.
The Wisconsin Dems are doing what they believe is right, which just so happens to be for the better interest of the common Wisconsin-er, as opposed to the Governor's favoritism of the corporate elite.

How would it benefit the common Wisconsin-er?
The only people benefiting off what the Dems are doing are the government unions.
