Yes. It's the one with Val Kilmer.

Ghosts of Mars was somehow written, produced, and directed by John Carpenter, but was in no way shape or form a John Carpenter movie.

It's basically about these zombie things on mars fighting Ice Cube.

In it's defence, the concept art is all Brom - and probably the movie where he's been allowed to most indulge his style.

Oh, and the soundtrack ensemble was ridiculously good, too.

John Carpenter should have known better.

Its the same story with Tim Burton and Planet of the Apes.

That was not in any way a Tim Burton movie. I am suprised he was even on the set.

I suspect Carpenter and Burton both were prey to the almighty dollar.

"Sleepy Hollow" is arguably the last 'real' Burton film (I think Brom was involved with that, too... actually... maybe Brom is the kiss of death?)

I agree with Sleepy Hollow. Although I will say Sweeney Todd was definitely a Burton film. Even if it wasn't that good of one.

I liked it okay, although I'm not sure how much credit he can really take for it.

I consider his impact on that movie to be more of an 'aesthetic advisor', perhaps.

Yeah. It at least looked like a burton movie. More so than the dreadful alice in wonderland.

Actually, that's a good point, and I'm perhaps unfairly separating "Corpse Bride" from his other ('real') movies.

In my opinion, Burton's great epic was "Nightmare Before Christmas." Sweeney Todd was an ok film, and I haven't seen Corpse Bride. I didn't mind Red Planet, really. I saw it in theaters on my 9th birthday and I didn't feel as if I wanted my money back or anything. As far as John Carpenter films go, Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China, and Escape from L.A. are my favorites, but I'm a big Kurt Russel fan anyway.

Before animal rights laws animals were killed on set all the time. For example all the old B&W Tarzan films.

I probably watch "Nightmare Before Christmas " a hundred times a year. (No, not exaggerating - the only movie I watch more is "Labyrinth"). So - I'm inclined to agree to a great extent.

Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within

It's ridiculous and unrealisitic, even by Final Fantasy standards. There's a woman from the future who happens to have hyper-advanced medical technology that heals all, and worst of all, there's no Garland or Chaos.
