Where he has Oklahoma and Louisiana going seems off.
The Economy/people of Oklahoma is nothing like the Desert areas out west.
Also Louisiana differs greatly from the rest of the South.
It seems much more likely those two states would seek to be joined with Texas.
Seems like a reasonable prediction, although I think his perspective is causing him to overstate the importance of ethnic demography.
A Biblebelt 'secession' might be believable.
I tend to favor a Marxist view in these regards. States will tend to lump together based on economics more then religious grounds.
Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana make a good bit of money from oil, and the refining of oil.
The only real wild card with Oklahoma is with all those reservations god knows where the native Americans will want to side with.
California presents a problem. It's obviously most at home with the upper east coast... in every respect but an evil conspiracy of geography.
