"jesusland" is crap. and not a bit maddening to those of us who live in those states being classified as such because of the way the citizens of our states voted. since there is the blanket "jesusland" for red states, maybe we should call the blue states "atheistland"? it would make about as much non sense.

Frankly it seems like some of the old Confederacy - like Louisiana and Arkansas - would be more like to shack up with Texas. Oklahoma and New Mexico would probably join them.

We could all then have a really wild party and wake up in the morning only to realize we accidentally conquered Mexico.

If, by 'force', you mean that the majority in just a few years will be Hispanic, and that - after secession - there'd be less 'white American' movement into New Mexico, etc... then yes. Although I don't like the term 'forcefully' as much as 'democratically'.

I imagine it would likely resolve itself as a sort of United States of Mexico, or something. A union of what we call Mexico, New Mexico, Texas, etc.

There's a difference between the sort of 'annex' you're talking about... and a democratic annexation.

I'm not sure we could annex Mexico, anyway. Just wouldn't happen.

Well, anyway, the idea was that we (meaning Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and New Mexico) could get together and go take over Mexico ourselves. Arizona can come too.

This was actually what Sam Houston wanted to do during the Civil War. After realizing secession was inevitable, he wanted us to stay out of the Confederacy and instead turn our attention southwards.
